Harry Potter Series written by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of a wizard,Harry Potter, and his friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's quest to overcome the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort, whose aims are to become immortal, conquer the wizarding world, subjugate non-magical people, and destroy all those who stand in his way, especially Harry Potter.

The character I'm going to base the typeface off of is Luna Lovegood. She's in Ravenclaw and first appears in the movies and the books is in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Many people in the Harry Potter series think she is a strange girl. This has led to her having the nickname "Loony Lovegood", but she does not change herself.

  1. I really think the idea of making a script for her is valid. Loosey-goosey and fluid. I could see her making circles or hearts over her i's too! Didn't she have turnip earrings? I think you should throw in something unexpected like that into one of your caps or something, it seems like something she would do.

  2. Ah! A Harry Potter character. Awesome. Luna has always been of my favorites, so quirky, but so completely honest. She has such a genuine spirit that a clean, flowing font would look beautiful!

  4. I'm pretty excited to see what you come up with. Something quirky and unique like Luna would be really fun to look at.

  5. I think Luna should have played a bigger part in the books. Just saying. But anyway, to me she's really different and chill and brings hope and calm into stressful situations. I think playing off of that and having a dreamy characteristic could have an interesting turn out. Great choice! :)

  8. Since you chose my biography, I feel compelled to offer some insight. 8)

I don't know who Luna is, but everyone seems to like her. It would be important that the structure of the typeface mimics her (strong foundation on the inside and unpredictable on the outside). This is based on what others have said in addition to your list, but you have a real crowd-pleaser on your hands.
